Pearl-Ex and Cold Laminating Sheets

Permanent black ink or Stayz On ink or Crafters ink

Cold laminating sheets......you can find these in the office supply section of Walmarts

Pearl-Ex pigment powder in assorted colors

White sticker paper

Step 1

If you're using permanent ink or Staz on just stamp the image on the laminating sheet and set aside to dry.

If you're using Crafters ink peel the backing off of the laminating sheet and lay it on your table sticky side up.  Then ink the stamp and carefully stamp on the sticky side.

Step 2

If you used the permanent ink or the Staz On , now it's time to peel off the backing and place it on your table sticky side up.

Step 3

Now it doesn't matter how you got your picture on the laminate.  We are working on the sticky side of the sheet.  Dip a small brush into the Pearl-Ex and gently tap it off of the brush.or lightly touch it to the adhesive...very lightly or it will stick.

Use as little powder as possible!!  It will spread out too much if it's thick!!!

Then after you have your different colors tapped around begin to spread it around with the brush.  Don't spread the powder all the way to the edge and try to leave some areas uncolored so the picture will stick to the sticker paper we're going to put on when we're finished coloring.

The first color that lands will stay put.  The powder will mix and your colors will blend together.  If you don't want that to happen then brush carefully.  It will look very messy this is ok.  It will be fine in the end.

Don't press too hard or bristles will stick to the adhesive and show on  the front of your picture.

Step 4

When you're finished coloring take a piece of white sticker paper and cut it a little larger than your picture, so it's easy to put on.  Peel off the release paper and lay it sticky side down on top of your powdered picture.  Press it down very carefully.  The powder will still move around a little if you rub too hard.

Step 5

Trim your picture to the size you want and mount it to cardstock.
